Iris is one of the most expensive raw materials in the perfumer’s organ, as the extraction process takes a long time: it takes around three years for the iris rhizome to reveal its fragrance, and another three years of drying before it can be distilled. This noble material, one of our perfumer’s favorites, takes pride of place in this perfume and will appeal to lovers of powdery yet characterful fragrances.
