Ruby Chéri couverture article Galimard

Ruby Chéri

Five years ago, our perfumer, Yusuke Masuda, moved to Grasse to fulfill his dream of creating fragrances in the world’s perfume capital. Originally from Japan, Yusuke draws inspiration from his memories, travels, encounters, and emotions. While he deeply values the exceptional raw materials available in the Grasse region, he also loves infusing his creations with the essence of his homeland.

When we think of Japan, a multitude of images comes to mind, but one stands out for its frequent appearance in travel guides, photographs, and paintings: the cherry blossom, symbols of delicate springtime and subtle perfume. The blooming of “Sakura” has been celebrated for centuries as one of Japan’s oldest traditions.

In his latest creation, Yusuke sought to capture the ethereal scent of these soft, pink-hued blossoms while introducing a more gourmand and sensual touch. What could be more fitting than cherries to complete the picture? A rich, juicy Morello cherry conjures the carefree spirit of summer, combined with almond for a hint of bitterness, magnolia to accentuate the feminine side of cherry blossom, and sandalwood and musk for a lingering, lasting warmth. Rounded off by the sweetness of vanilla, Ruby Chéri was born.

Ruby Chéri evokes nostalgia as when summer fades into winter—memories of lazy siestas beneath fruit trees, followed by blissful, carefree afternoon snacks, baskets of ripe fruit freshly picked from the branches, and the comforting aroma of jam gently cooking the kitchen of a country house. Yet, Ruby Chéri is also a tribute to femininity that is both seductive and refined. The warm, voluptuous colour evoked by its name makes it the ideal gift for the festive season, but this fragrance is suitable for all seasons and for women of all ages, and will be the perfect ally for all occasions, whether professional, festive or family.

We invite you to experience this new creation and let yourself be swept away by the emotions that Ruby Chéri will awaken within you!
