Celebrating 10 years of «Napoléon 1815»

March 2025 marks a special moment for the history of France – it marks the landing of Napoleon Bonaparte on his return from the Island of Elba in 1815. To commemorate the date, celebrations are organized in Vallauris and Golfe-Juan. Re-enactments in traditional costume, conferences, shows… the program is rich with cultural meaning and attracts hundreds of visitors, curious to discover this special moment in the history of France.

More than 200 years after his passing, the emperor continues to captivate, especially as his legendary journey—from Vallauris to Grenoble—gave rise to the famous Route Napoléon, traveled year-round by thousands of visitors to our beautiful region.

This March 2025, Maison de Parfums Galimard is delighted to take part in these commemorations in our own unique way, as the iconic fragrance Napoléon 1815 celebrates its 10th anniversary! Created in honor of the bicentennial of Napoleon’s passage through Grasse in 1815, this timeless scent remains as captivating as ever, enchanting customers around the world.

Napoléon 1815 parfum masculin

When it was first launched in 2015, this distinctive fragrance was presented in a specially designed bottle evoking the emperor’s silhouette, topped with a cap inspired by his famous bicorne hat. Elegantly housed in an imperial green velvet pouch, it embodied the very essence of French refinement.

Today, while the fragrance itself remains unchanged, we have chosen to present it in our signature engraved Galimard bottle, while preserving its iconic green and gold colors.

Ten years on, what makes this fragrance continue to fascinate? Of course, there are the loyal customers who have cherished it since its debut and wouldn’t dream of changing. Then there are those who stumble upon it while visiting one of our boutiques -sometimes drawn in by its name- only to discover a scent like no other. It is not only appreciated by gentlemen but also by women who enjoy bold, sporty fragrances.

The secret to its enduring appeal lies in its audacious composition. Napoléon 1815 opens with invigorating citrus notes of mandarin and citron, a tribute to the emperor’s Corsican roots. These blend seamlessly with the emblematic flowers of Grasserose and jasmine—while spicy black pepper adds a bold masculinity. Smoky vetiver and earthy patchouli evoke the landscapes once traversed by Napoleon and his men, creating a scent that is both powerful and unforgettable.

The result? A fragrance that leaves no one indifferent—an exceptional gift for those who appreciate originality or wish to take home an olfactory memory of their visit to our stunning region.

Haven’t discovered it yet? Come and experience Napoléon 1815 for yourself at our boutiques in Grasse or Eze-Village! !
